In my opinon, if it's worth anything, Cecilia Bartoli is the best vocalist in the world. But perhaps there are others I should appreciate as well. Take for instance, Vivica Genaux. A French mezzo-soprano. And, as Colin Beavan said, "the French are cool".
Grisielda, a drama per musica, was composed Antonio Vivaldi. Although first performed in Venice on May 18, 1735, "Agitata" is still performed by accomplished mezzo-sopranos all over the world and by me in the shower. Both Vivica Genaux and Cecilia Bartoli perform exceptionally well but each have a unique style of their own and hilarious facial expressions. Lets compare.
